One of the required documents is a<strong> personal statement<\/strong> (400-500 words) and <strong>a short essay<\/strong> (400-500 words). The personal statement is about their motivation for studying at ICU and their career plans. For the essay, the students choose a topic from a given list. Previous topics were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discuss a current issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.<\/li>\n<li>Describe a work of art (painting, literature, music, etc.), a historical episode, or a scientific achievement that has impressed you and explain how it has affected your outlook on life.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.<\/li>\n<li>A topic of your choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, if the student\u2019s previous education system was one in which the first language is NOT English, then they are required to <strong>submit a certificate<\/strong> to prove their English proficiency.
