Required documents

Waseda University “School of Political Science and Economics” (SPSE) requires prospect students to submit a list of documents. One part of the required documents is a written essay of about 1000 words about their motivation for applying for SPSE and what their future plan is.

Furthermore, students who received a conditional offer are required to take an interview test. In general, they will be asked about their applications, their motivation for applying, and their future goals.

Additionally, if the student’s previous education system was one in which the first language is NOT English, then they are required to submit a certificate to prove their English proficiency. Acceptable types of certification are TOEFL iBT, TOEIC L&R, IELTS (Academic), GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) and EIKEN (Test in Practical English Proficiency).
