Required documents

University of Tsukuba requires prospective students to submit several documents. One of the required documents is a written essay of about 1200 words. The topic is about a global issue and how the applicant’s study plan is related to that issue.

Furthermore, students are required to take an interview test. In general, they will be asked about their applications, their motivation for applying and their future goals.

Additionally, applicants are required to submit a certificate to prove their English proficiency. Acceptable types of certification are TOEFL iBT, TOEIC L&R, IELTS (Academic), or equivalent.
